This award winning "Cone Joint" was developed by Otis White pre-1894, for fixturing of various other products of the day (including products for the emerging field of photography, as well as medical device manipulation). It is an 8 piece assembly that provides incredibly rugged holding power, that affords limitless positioning.
The CJ-11 model is by far the most common cone joint in existence, having been part of hundreds of thousands of fixtures manufactured in the 19th and 20th centuries. These joints include the sought-after '8 ball' adjustment wheel. These are the perfect pieces to construct your own light fixture out of, or to simply utilize in the refurbishing of an older fixture (with the less appealing 5 segment wheel). These cone joints are offered in Natural Iron finish (and do include thumb screw, as shown in diagram).
